Sr. Paul-Gabriel, SP, died on January 9, 2011 at 2:15 p.m. at Mount St. Joseph, Spokane, Washington at 96 years of age, after 75 years as a Sister of Providence. The Vigil Service will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., Mount St. Joseph, 12 West 9th Avenue, Spokane, WA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 14, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the same location. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane following the Mass., Sr. Paul-Gabriel was the first child born to Denerie and Emeranda (Bineault) Desilets on October 20, 1914 in St. Wenceslas, County of Nicolet, Quebec, Canada. Her given name at baptism was Marie Cecile Gilberte Desilets. She had five brothers and two sisters., She attended public grade school and graduated from St. Wenceslas High School in 1932 where she was taught by the Assumption Sisters of Nicolet, Quebec, taking all her studies in French., Sr. Paul-Gabriel entered the Sisters of Providence on February 26, 1935, became a novice on August 27, 1935, made her first profession on February 28, 1937, and took her final vows at Mount St. Vincent, Seattle, WA on February 28, 1941. Her great aunt was a member of the Sisters of Providence religious community. She became a U.S. citizen in 1945., She received a certificate in Home Nursing from St. Ignatius School of Nursing (now Whitman Hospital and Medical Center), Colfax, Washington., She participated in five summers of food service education conducted by the Food Research Center for Catholic Institutions, North Easton, Massachusetts, and received a certificate of completion on October 13, 1968. She and Sr. Cecile Laprise also participated in Dietary Administration for Food Service Managers, sponsored by the Catholic Hospital Association, St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO and received a certificate of completion on June 15, 1971., Her first mission was in food services at Providence Hospital in Seattle, WA,1937-41; Columbus Hospital (now Benefis Healthcare), Great Falls, MT, domestic duties, 1941-43; St. Ignatius Hospital (now Whitman Hospital & Medical Center) Colfax, Washington, dietary, 1943-62; St. Clare Hospital, Ft. Benton, MT, dietary, 1962-64; St. Joseph Academy, Sprague, WA, culinary department, 1964-65; Mount St. Joseph, Spokane, Washington, culinary department, 1965-79; part-time infirmary aide, 1979-85; dietary aide and beautician, 1980-82; and assisted in community service with the sisters at Mount St. Joseph until she fully retired in 2007. In retirement, Sr. Paul-Gabriel resided at Mount St. Joseph., She loved music and sang with her mother at a very early age. She played the piano, and also enjoyed playing the harmonica and guitar., Sr. Paul-Gabriel was preceded in death by her mother and father, and seven of her siblings. Teresa Kay Rost, known as Terry, died in Spokane, Sunday, January 9, 2011, from cancer. Terry was born in Lewiston, Id, March 28, 1957, to Shirley Harding Goffinet and Donald Ray Goffinet. She grew up in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1975., Terry married Flint Rost in 1994, and they made their home in Spokane. They have two sons, Jordan and Zachery. Terry loved her sons very much and was very proud of both of them., Terry worked for Barney’s Harvest Foods since 1977. She began her career in Lewiston and then moved to Spokane. She had many good friends at work and also enjoyed visiting with her customers., She is survived by her husband, Flint; sons Jordan and Zachery; father, Don Goffinet, and sister, Cheryl Goffinet, of Lewiston; brother John Goffinet and wife Sandra of Orofino; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins., Terry was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Goffinet; grandparents, Gordon and Elizabeth Goffinet; and grandmother, Winnie Hirsch., No services are planned at this time.

GILLEY, Terrianne Marie 23 Years of Life GILLEY-WATKINS, Sam Richard, Terrianne Marie Gilley (November 30, 1987 - January 1, 2011) and her son, Sam Richard Gilley-Watkins (July 11, 2008 - January 1, 2011) of Elk, Washington, went to heaven on January 1, 2011, in a fire at their home. Terrianne and Sam are survived by their father/fiancé Jesse Watkins; son/brother Nathan Gilley-Watkins; grandparents Doug and Arlene “Riki” Watkins, Mark Gilley, Pam McNeill; great-grandparents Bernie and Delma Watkins, R.S. Gilley and Barbara Largent, and David and Connie McNeill; aunt Carly (Wade) Thames, and uncle Jason (Amber) Baker. Terrianne and Jesse have been together for five years, have two beautiful sons and have lived in the Elk community most of that time. Terrianne loved animals and was an open door to her friends and family and never judged anyone. Sam was a bundle of energy who loved playing with his family and friends. They brought so much joy to our lives and there are no words to describe how much they will be missed. The Celebration of Life honoring Terrianne and Sam will be in Elk at the Country Church of the Open Bible at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 15, 2011, with Rev.
