Dennis Isaac Bill passed away at the age of 57 on December 12, 2010 in Saanichton, British Columbia., He was born on April 17, 1953 in Duncan, B.C., Dennis loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed carving, Round Drum, traveling, casinos, bone games, Swinomish Dance Group, Kenny Rogers, Al Green, Freddy Fender, watching movies and wrestling. He was a self employed artist and a member of the Shaker Church., Dennis is survived by his wife, Norma; his two sons, Dennis Jr. (Diana) and Isaac; daughters, Erica Bailey, Jill (Palmer) Bill, Vicki (Jordan) Bill, Maggie (Kyle) Bill and Jennifer (Daniel) Bill; mother, Mary Bill; brothers, Willard Bill, Toby Bill, John Bill, Warren (Brittany) Bill and Andrew (Dee) Bill; sisters, Gloria George, Janice Bill, Julie (Gerald) Bill and Miriam (Ken) Bill., A prayer service was held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, followed by a funeral service Thursday, December 16, 2010 with both services taking place at the Social Service Building on the Swinomish Reservation., Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon.

Doris Esser, 84, of Mesa, Washington, passed away at home on December 13, 2010 peacefully and quietly. She was born November 20, 1926, in Starbuck, Minnesota, the second child and oldest daughter of Sofus and Valborg Christensen. On April 21, 1945 she married Lyle Esser in San Francisco, California., She was raised in Askov, Minnesota, a small farming town in northern Minnesota established by Danish immigrants. At age 15 she left home to work in a department store in Minneapolis, then at 17 moved to San Francisco with two of her friends to work in the shipyards as a welder during World War II. There she and Lyle met and were married. Ten years later, she and Lyle moved from California to the Columbia Basin to start farming. Doris was a dedicated homemaker, mother, wife and worked for the North Franklin School District as a para-educator for many years. She loved cooking and gardening. Doris was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints., Doris is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judy Esser of Mattawa, Washington; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and David Weikum of Pasco, Washington; son and daughter-in-law, John and Janet Esser of Saratoga Springs, Utah; daughter Kayann Fehrenbacher of Mesa, Washington; ‘adopted son’, Paulo Sanchez of Othello, Washington; Grandson, Daniel Fehrenbacher of Mesa, Washington; sisters, Betty Bailey of Pasco, Washington and Irene Ellison of Minot, North Dakota; 9 other grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

F. Dan O’Connell Dan O’Connell, age 92 of Bellingham, enduring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was peacefully called home to be with our Lord on December 13, 2010 after a long and abundant life. He is survived by his children Kathleen (Mike) Nesser of Reno, NV, Mike (Bonnie) O’Connell of Eugene, OR, Greg (Cathi) O’Connell, Larry (Nena) O’Connell, and Tim (Susy) O’Connell, all of Bellingham. He also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and his beloved canine, Maggie. Dan is reunited with his wife of 69 years, Lucille, and daughter George-Anne who preceded him in death.

David “Bub” Joseph Hebert Our dad was born July 24, 1928 and died peacefully December 12, 2010. He was born to Helen and Paul J. Hebert. One brother Paul V. Hebert (deceased) wife (Julie), and 4 sisters, Doris Stevens (deceased) and husband (Bill), Joan Hammrich (Leo), Mary Hebert, (deceased), and Loretta Macha. He attended Holy Rosary school and graduated from Bellarmine Prep in 1946. Laura “Pinky”Lou Hebert Our mom was born January 7, 1928 and died peacefully December 13, 2010. She was born to Rose and Clarence Adams. She has 1 sister, Verna Adams Rauscher, and 1 brother, Ronald Adams. She attended Ruston elementary school, Mason Junior High, and was a proud graduate of Stadium High School in 1946. Our mom was very athletic and played basketball on school teams and loved watching football. They have 4 children, including Kenneth (Sophy), Patrick (Debbie), Roseanne Krajewski (Hank), and Joseph (Kandi). They have 10 grandchildren, including Justin, Josophyne, Jonathan, Keven, Aaron, Brian, Kasey, Emily, Sarah and Elodie. They have 1 great-grandchild, Hayden, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held for mom and dad on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., and a Funeral Mass will be held for both on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Both the Rosary and Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N. 44th St, Tacoma.
